you’ve found the webpage for the collected writings of leon benson. leon is a falsely accused and convicted prisoner serving decades in indiana prisons for a crime he didn’t commit. he has been and active voice for defense of prisoners rights and has written extensively about his nearly 10 years held in solitary confinement.
please download any of these writings and distribute them widely. some of them are ready to be read online, others are in ‘imposed’ format, meaning they’re ready for you to print. just make sure to choose double sided printing and it should come out as a nice pamphlet.

lotus blossom

While in prison i live like a lotus blossom, because it grows outta water, but its petals remain unwet. Here i grow outta injustice, oppression, & pain of wrongful imprisonment, but my heart remains un-splashed by these inhumanities. Remember: nothing or no one can control what we think or how we spend our time....that's my secret to cultivating & maintaining a genuine good spirit & mind (now you see im not unique).
